Volunteer of Month

For August VOM we are recognizing TWO Evening League Captains.  These two ladies possess very fine traits of an EWGA LEADER!

Laura Pisarek has been the Tuesday night Pender County league captain for several years and has consistently done an outstanding job.  This past year she coordinated with both the Belvedere and Castle Bay Golf courses to schedule the evening nine and dine leagues.  She displays integrity, makes new comers feel welcome,  and is always very pleasant to play a round with.

Robin Wiliams has also been nominated for VOM. Robin volunteered to host Monday nine and dine at Cape Fear National Golf Course in Brunswick County. Robin was successful to increase the interest and attendance 8x's  what it was the prior year.  She took time to work with new golfers and teaches a stroke or two as needed.  Robin is very easy going and always professional with all the members.

Please congratulate both ladies for their contributions!

As a reminder, nominees for Volunteer of the Month will be accepted monthly from any member. Nominees must be submitted in writing (email is fine) outlining the volunteer’s extraordinary commitment to volunteering and support of the goals of the Chapter to Shirley Howell at: prior to the Boards monthly meeting. At the end of the year, all members are invited to vote for the Volunteer of the Year from the monthly winners.
